Trot Singer Ryu Won-jeong Appointed as Public Ambassador of Hometown Gyeongsan-si

Singer Ryu Won-jeong graduated from Jinryang Jinseong Elementary School and Jinryang Middle School. After winning the KBS Trot Successor audition, she debuted with the single album ‘Simji’ and gained popularity by advancing to the semifinals in TV Chosun's Tomorrow's Miss Trot 2.

Singer Ryu Won-jeong and the Bokdeongi fan club donated 10 million won in charity funds to Gyeongsan City at the end of last year, and participated in promotional activities for the Hometown Love Donation System at this appointment ceremony. She will serve as a promotional ambassador for the next two years.

Singer Ryu Won-jeong said, “I am proud to become a promotional ambassador who promotes my hometown, and I will do my best to showcase the various charms of Gyeongsan City in the future.”

Gyeongsan Mayor Cho Hyun-il said, “I express my gratitude to Ms. Ryu Won-jeong for willingly accepting the role of promotional ambassador. I expect that the ambassadors, who are active in various fields and facilitate smooth communication with citizens, will serve as a focal point to widely promote Gyeongsan.”

Singer Ryu Won-jeong, who will be active as a promotional ambassador for Gyeongsan City, will work alongside the existing eight ambassadors, including broadcaster Park Hae-sang and comedian Kim Won-hyo, to discover various contents suitable for Gyeongsan City's image, deliver messages of dreams and hope to citizens, and promote Gyeongsan City's culture, tourism, and local agricultural and specialty products externally.
