Online Registration Open Until the 28th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 18th that it will recruit participants online until the 28th for the representative trekking program of Seoul Dulle-gil, the 'Seoul Dulle-gil 100-person Expedition Team.'
The 100-person Expedition Team is the representative trekking program of Dulle-gil that has been ongoing since the operation of Dulle-gil began in 2014. Those selected for the '100-person Expedition Team' will walk distances of over 10 km together with experts such as forest trail hiking guides every Saturday, over 10 to 12 sessions, eventually completing the entire 156.5 km course step by step.
Seoul Dulle-gil is a total of 156.5 km, which may feel somewhat burdensome to walk alone. The 100-person Expedition Team, which started from the idea that 'beginners might find it easier to complete the course with guidance from trekking experts,' is now in its 13th edition this year.
The 100-person Expedition Team is a program suitable for first-timers who are afraid to start, as experts like forest trail hiking guides provide guidance on healthy walking methods, and participants walk together in groups of 10.
Above all, completing the course requires diligence and passion to attend consistently. Only by fully investing precious Saturday weekend time over 11 to 12 sessions to complete the Dulle-gil can participants earn the medal awarded to finishers.
Participation in the 100-person Expedition Team can be applied for by accessing the QR code or URL on the promotional poster and submitting an application form. After a screening process, 100 people will be selected and individually notified via text message. The participation fee is free, and anyone capable of trekking without external assistance can apply.
Details such as the operation schedule of the 100-person Expedition Team can be found on the Seoul Dulle-gil website, and for more detailed information, inquiries can be made to the Seoul Metropolitan Government (Green City Leisure Bureau, Park Leisure Business Division) or the Dulle-gil Information Center.
Yoo Young-bong, Director of the Green City Leisure Bureau of Seoul, said, “Completing Seoul Dulle-gil is by no means easy. There will be difficult and challenging moments, but I hope everyone gains vitality through healthy walking with experts and experiences a special sense of accomplishment by completing Seoul Dulle-gil together.” He added, “We ask for the active participation of citizens interested in the 2023 100-person Expedition Team recruitment.”
