Changwon Special City Supports Promotion of Remodeling Projects for Aging Apartments

Operation of the "Apartment Remodeling Pre-Consultation Team"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam has formed the 'Changwon City Apartment Remodeling Preliminary Consulting Team' to support early assessment of the feasibility of remodeling projects for aging apartment complexes.

The newly formed preliminary consulting team for apartment remodeling targets apartment complexes that have passed 15 years since their approval for use. When a representative who has obtained consent from at least 10% of the residents' representative meeting or owners applies for consulting to the Housing Policy Division of Changwon City, the consulting team, composed of experts in relevant fields, visits the apartment complex and provides directions for residential environment improvement tailored to the conditions of the complex, helping residents decide whether to proceed with remodeling.

The preliminary consulting team consists of 10 members, including architects, structural and facility engineers, appraisers, and professional maintenance project managers, all of whom have extensive knowledge and experience in apartment remodeling.

Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “We will actively utilize the consulting team to establish a system that can objectively support residents' intentions by presenting directions for residential environment improvement tailored to the conditions of the complex at the pre-remodeling stage.”
