Public UI/UX Innovation Pilot Project Completion Report Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 16th that, as part of a leading project to realize the Digital Platform Government, it collaborated with Korea Railroad Corporation to improve the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the widely used Korail Talk app to make it easier and more convenient for the public to use.
Before fully launching the user-centered public web/app UI/UX innovation project to ensure that all citizens can use digital public services without inconvenience, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety conducted this pilot project to verify an innovative model of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) and to establish future application and dissemination directions.
□ The main improvements of Korail Talk include simplifying the initial loading screen and notification pop-ups that users first encounter upon launching the app, enhancing visibility by making them easier for the public to understand, and systematically revising the notification content so that users can quickly grasp essential information.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to actively promote user-centered public web/app innovation starting this year by comprehensively considering the pilot results, opinions from the public and experts, and advanced overseas cases.
Seo Boram, Director of the Digital Government Bureau at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, stated, “This pilot project is a cornerstone for the full transition to a user-centered public web/app user interface and experience (UI/UX) that allows all citizens to easily and conveniently use digital public services,” and added, “We will accelerate efforts to innovate the public web/app UI/UX system based on public-private cooperation and apply it to major public web/apps as part of the Digital Platform Government innovation.”
