[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kang Jongman) announced on the 15th that it will conduct a special inspection to prevent safety accidents and the spread of infectious diseases at rural tourism and recreation facilities until the 23rd.
This inspection focuses on meeting the experience and leisure demands of urban residents for rural life and preventing safety accidents by conducting intensive safety inspections on 93 rural tourism and recreation facilities in the area (80 guesthouses, 9 recreational villages, 3 tourist farms, and 1 recreational complex).
The main inspection items include designation of facility safety management officers, completion of fire safety education, maintenance of evacuation and fire prevention facilities, compliance with basic quarantine guidelines such as regular ventilation and disinfection, and hygiene management status.
The county plans to distribute rural guesthouse signboards, disinfection equipment, and promotional materials, and to correct any non-compliance issues on-site.
A county official stated, “By strengthening regular safety management of rural tourism and recreation facilities, we aim to prevent various accidents and promote rural tourism activation so that visitors can return to a clean and friendly Yeonggwang, rich in experiences, food, and attractions.”
