Ray, 128.9 Billion KRW in Sales Last Year... "Achieved Best Performance Since Establishment"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Ray, a digital dentistry specialist company, announced on the 15th that it achieved consolidated sales of 128.9 billion KRW and operating profit of 16.2 billion KRW last year. This represents an increase of 43% and 379% respectively compared to the previous year, marking the highest performance since its establishment.

The reason behind Ray's strong performance is the structural growth of the digital treatment solution market and the expansion of new sales through the addition of new product lineups. Recently, dentists have been actively adopting digital treatment solutions and reflecting them in treatments, signaling the beginning of structural changes across the industry.

Starting this year, Ray has opened the era of digital twins in the industry for the first time by adding new product lineups such as RayFace, oral scanners, and milling machines in addition to existing products. Dentists can use the data obtained through RayFace not only for patient treatment simulation but also directly apply the results to actual treatment.

Currently, RayFace is the only system capable of implementing such functions. The company expects even greater sales growth this year as full-scale sales of RayFace and other new products continue. Additionally, the implementation of the volume-based procurement (VBP) system in China, Ray’s largest strategic market, is also expected to significantly contribute to Ray’s sales growth.

A Ray representative stated, “Along with the structural growth of the market, we are seeing increased sales effects by strengthening marketing and sales activities in Ray’s strategic markets such as China, the United States, Japan, and Europe. In particular, growth in the Korean market, which had not seen significant growth until now, is especially remarkable.”

Ray views the increase in sales volume in the Korean market positively. The Korean market is sensitive to new trend changes but at the same time has a conservative nature where thorough verification of safety and treatment effectiveness is prioritized in the medical device market. Being recognized in a market with such dual characteristics is also evidence that it can succeed in global markets.

A Ray representative said, “The response on the ground to the paradigm shift in dental treatment brought by digital treatment solutions is very enthusiastic. We will continue to drive sustainable growth through aggressive overseas market expansion and active marketing activities in the domestic market this year as well.”
