[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is promoting the 2023 Rural Housing Improvement Project to create a safe and clean residential environment.
The eligible applicants are rural residents and returnees to farming and rural areas who wish to build new or renovate old and poor-quality houses in the region. Applications are being accepted in person at the relevant eup/myeon offices until March 15.
The support target is a detached house not exceeding 150㎡ (including part of a warehouse), and the loan interest rate for costs related to new construction, extension, or major repairs will be supported at around 2%.
Additionally, within a limit of 2.8 million KRW, support will be provided for acquisition tax, cadastral survey fees, year-end tax settlement income deductions, reductions in farmland preservation charges, and measures for agricultural and fishery disaster countermeasures.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “We will continue to support the improvement of old houses and new construction for returnees to farming and rural areas to do our best in creating a pleasant and safe residential environment.”
