Loaned to My Friend Dasom K's Family... Health Monitoring
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Dementia Safety Center in Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it plans to operate the first session of the AI care robot non-face-to-face care program ‘My Friend Dasom-iK’ from the 13th to June 30.
This program targets registrants at the Dementia Safety Center (normal group, mild cognitive impairment, mild dementia patients) and rents out four AI care robots DasomK to their homes, combining cognitive stimulation activities and health monitoring, operating for 20 weeks.
‘DasomK’ is an AI care robot that provides comprehensive care services including cognitive stimulation programs using content, emotional interaction through companion functions, medication management healthcare, and video calls and monitoring for caregivers.
An official from the county health center stated, “The purpose is to help manage health conditions by enhancing cognition and preventing depression in elderly people who have difficulty visiting the center through the rental of care robots,” and added, “We will continue to strive to provide and manage more efficient programs for the residents.”
