[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Polaris Office, a specialist company in office software (SW), announced on the 13th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with AI specialist company Selvas AI to create a new paradigm for AI Office.
This agreement is significant in that the two companies, with long experience and technological capabilities in productivity SW and AI fields, are combining their core competencies. Through mutual cooperation, the two companies plan to start developing AI Office solutions and actively explore new business models in the AI Office market.

The two companies agreed to apply various AI technologies to Polaris Office's productivity-based office SW, including ▲development of core office engine technologies ▲application of AI-based voice recognition, speech synthesis, handwriting recognition, etc. ▲application of AI convergence and fusion technologies ▲collaboration on service development and commercialization ▲joint business promotion and marketing. They plan to develop various AI-based functions including real-time document translation, intelligent meeting summary features, and voice recognition document creation.
A Polaris Office official said, “By combining Polaris Office’s expertise in productivity SW with Selvas AI’s innovative AI technology, we will be able to create AI Office products that change the way people work.” He added, “We plan to launch Polaris Office incorporating generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT or HyperCLOVA, which are ultra-large language model AIs.”
He continued, “Through this, Polaris Office customers worldwide will be able to perform their work faster, easier, and more enjoyably.”
Polaris Office is the second largest shareholder of Selvas Healthcare, a subsidiary of Selvas AI, and is a global office platform company with about 120 million users worldwide. In addition to the office business, it is growing its platform growth engine through various additional businesses utilizing subscribers. As part of this, it is targeting the productivity-based AI field.
