Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center Conducts '2023 Chrysanthemum Bonsai Cultivation Technology Training'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Busan Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center (Director Park Mijin) will conduct the "Chrysanthemum Bonsai Cultivation Technology Training" starting in March to revitalize lifestyle horticulture in Gijang-gun, expand the culture of growing companion plants, and cultivate chrysanthemum bonsai experts.

The chrysanthemum bonsai training conducted by the Gijang-gun Agricultural Technology Center since 2018 has gained high interest and positive responses not only from the residents of Gijang-gun but also from tourists visiting Gijang-gun through participants' involvement in the Gijang-gun Chrysanthemum Bonsai Exhibition and their work submissions every year.

Previously operated as the "Urban Flower School," the chrysanthemum bonsai training, which runs from March to November, will be conducted in 2023 under the new curriculum distinguishing beginner and expert classes, and under the name "Chrysanthemum Bonsai Cultivation Technology Training."

The instructor, who was the first planner and director of the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival and Chrysanthemum Festival and serves as an advisory member for agricultural expos, will conduct level-specific customized training on chrysanthemum bonsai cultivation management techniques, shaping and maintenance, and chrysanthemum bonsai upkeep. Compared to previous years, more diverse works are expected to greet the residents of Gijang-gun through the "7th Gijang-gun Chrysanthemum Bonsai Exhibition 2023."
