Jangseong-gun to Host Academy with Director Ju Young-ha on the 16th

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 13th that it will hold the 21st Century Jangseong Academy by inviting Joo Youngha, Director of Jangseogak at the Academy of Korean Studies, at the small theater of Jangseong Culture and Arts Center on the 16th.

Director Joo Youngha is a food humanities scholar who has researched the history and culture of food for 35 years.

In the lecture, Director Joo plans to reveal precious ‘food discourses’ that only he can share.

While highlighting the ‘100-year history of Korean food’ from the Korean Empire era to the present day, an interesting food culture history woven like warp and weft will unfold. He will introduce baseless food myths and also explore their truths.

The 21st Century Jangseong Academy, which has been operating for 28 years, is the world’s longest-running social education program and is held every first and third Thursday of the month.

The on-site lecture is open to anyone on a first-come, first-served basis without a separate reservation, and real-time attendance is also possible through the county’s YouTube live broadcast.
