The application period is from the 13th to August 16th. Individuals or groups aged 16 or older as of the announcement date are eligible to apply. The committee plans to recruit 300 volunteers for general and interpretation roles.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Expo Organizing Committee office, the Sancheong-gun Volunteer Center, or online through the official expo website.
The committee will finalize the selection of volunteers by August, followed by an inauguration ceremony and capacity-building training. Volunteers will be assigned to various guidance and experience booths, exhibition halls, and other areas. Participants will receive a modest meal and transportation allowance, and can obtain a certificate of volunteer activity through the 1365 Volunteer Portal. Additionally, outstanding volunteers (or groups) will be awarded commendations.
Park Jeong-jun, Secretary General of the Expo Organizing Committee, said, “The successful hosting of the 2023 Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo depends on the active participation of local residents. We ask everyone to actively participate in volunteering with the mindset that they are the main agents of the event.”
The 2023 Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo, under the theme “Promise of the Future, Traditional Medicine in the World,” is scheduled to be held for 35 days from September 15 to October 19, 2023, at Donguibogam Village in Sancheong-gun. The organizing committee plans to deploy about 100 volunteers daily during the 35-day event period to welcome visitors attending the expo.
