Hamyang-gun Holds Meeting for Next Year's Livestock Odor Improvement Project Application

At the meeting held on the 10th, discussions were held on the formation plan of the odor improvement regional council and the application for the 2024 Livestock Odor Improvement Contest Project, along with the exchange of various opinions to create a pleasant environment free of odor.

The regional council is an organization for managing conflicts and communication/coexistence in the community caused by livestock odor, consisting of Hamyang-gun, livestock organizations, livestock farmers, and resident representatives. Through regular meetings, it will seek odor reduction measures suitable for local conditions, mediate conflicts between livestock farmers and local residents, and carry out activities such as visiting exemplary regions.


An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “Recently, complaints about livestock odor have been increasing. We will actively operate the livestock odor improvement regional council and address conflicts with local residents through the odor improvement contest project to create a pleasant livestock environment and actively respond to securing the competitiveness of livestock farmers.”


In addition to the contest project being prepared, Hamyang-gun is implementing various projects to resolve odor, such as supplying odor reduction facilities and equipment, moisture conditioners and microbial agents (probiotics), and environmental improvement agents (deodorizers) to reduce livestock odor.
