Eunpyeong Senior Club Provides Linked Services for Senior Job Projects
Provides Childcare and Boarding Assistance to iMom Taxi Users
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) has newly added and is operating a "Parallel Accompaniment Service" to the transportation service "iMom Taxi" for pregnant women and families with infants and young children.
"iMom Taxi" is an exclusive taxi service available to families with pregnant women and infants, first implemented nationwide by Eunpyeong-gu to respond to low birth rates. It helps reduce inconvenience when going out with young children.
The newly established "Parallel Accompaniment" service accompanies iMom Taxi users visiting hospitals, providing childcare and boarding assistance. The service is linked with senior jobs, deploying six seniors participating in the Eunpyeong Senior Club job program.
The parallel accompaniment service is available on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Users must make a reservation at least 1 to 3 days in advance.
To use "iMom Taxi," users must install the dedicated smartphone app "iMom Taxi" and register as members. Eligible users are pregnant women or families with children under 24 months residing in Eunpyeong-gu. They are provided with 10 usage tickets annually.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, "We hope to provide transportation convenience and reduce economic burdens for pregnant women and families with young children," adding, "We will spare no effort to support various policies to make the city a great place to raise children."
