New Confirmed Cases 12,805... About 1,800 Fewer Than a Week Ago (Update)

[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] The number of new COVID-19 cases is decreasing.


The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on the 11th, there were 12,805 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 30,338,148.


The number of new cases on this day decreased by 699 compared to the previous day (13,504 cases).


Compared to a week ago on the 4th (14,624 cases), it decreased by 1,819 cases, and compared to two weeks ago on the 28th of last month (23,594 cases), it decreased by 10,789 cases, continuing the downward trend.


Based on Saturdays, this is the lowest record in 32 weeks since July 2 of last year (10,708 cases).


Among the new cases on this day, 24 were imported cases, which is 14 fewer than the previous day (38 cases). Of these, 5 cases (21%) were arrivals from China.


Excluding imported cases, there were 12,781 domestic infections.


The number of confirmed cases by region (including imported cases) is as follows: Gyeonggi 2,842, Seoul 2,292, Busan 948, Gyeongnam 984, Daegu 746, Gyeongbuk 726, Incheon 674, Chungnam 482, Jeonnam 457, Jeonbuk 442, Gwangju 458, Chungbuk 416, Ulsan 320, Daejeon 317, Gangwon 362, Jeju 226, Sejong 105, Quarantine 8.


The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized is 284, which is 3 fewer than the previous day, marking six consecutive days in the 200s.


The number of deaths on the previous day was 16, one less than the day before. The cumulative number of deaths is 33,713, with a cumulative fatality rate of 0.11%.
