[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, will provide incentives to travel agencies that attract domestic and international group tourists to promote the tourism industry and revitalize the local economy.
According to the county on the 10th, this project will proceed from this month until the budget is exhausted. The support target is travel agencies registered under the Tourism Promotion Act. If they meet support conditions such as visiting local tourist attractions and using local restaurants, and have a certain number of people or more, 300,000 KRW per bus will be provided.
To receive the incentive, travel agencies must submit a prior plan and itinerary at least five days before the trip and submit an application form and supporting documents within 15 days after the trip ends.
Detailed information can be found on the county website's public notice board.
Starting next month, the county will officially open the Okjeongho Bungeo Island suspension bridge, and hold tourism festivals throughout the four seasons, including Osu World Dog Festival in May, Aqua Festival in July, and Imsil N Cheese Festival in October.
In particular, the representative tourist site, Imsil Cheese Theme Park, attracts many tourists year-round who enjoy experiences and sightseeing, and the anticipation is rising as a rose garden will be created in May.
Additionally, the 420-meter-long suspension bridge connecting Okjeongho Bungeo Island, which was temporarily opened last October, is scheduled for its official opening in March, and Bungeo Island has been renovated into a tourist park lush with flowers, trees, and other vegetation throughout the year.
The county is gaining attention as a new blue ocean leading Jeonbuk tourism by securing hot tourism issues such as the great success of the Imsil N Cheese Festival, the opening of the Okjeongho Bungeo Island suspension bridge, the creation of Osu World Dog Theme Land, the national tourist site Saseondae, and Seongsusan forest recreation.
County Governor Shim Min said, “As the tourism industry gradually recovers, we are implementing an incentive support project for travel agencies to attract tourists, so we hope many people will visit Imsil. We will attract many tourists nationwide to revive the local economy and surely open the era of ten million tourists in Imsil.”
