Provided to Over 2,270 Seniors... Support for Retirement Life
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, will actively promote the senior job project starting from the 13th to provide elderly citizens with opportunities for active and healthy retirement life and social participation.
According to the county on the 10th, a budget of 6.6 billion KRW has been secured this year to provide jobs for about 2,270 seniors, and an additional 600 million KRW of county funds will be invested to provide extra jobs for 450 people.
The senior job project will be carried out through 9 public service-type projects such as creating beautiful villages and cleaning helpers at senior centers, and 6 social service-type projects. Participants in the public service-type projects receive an activity allowance of 270,000 KRW for 30 hours per month, while those in the social service-type projects receive 710,000 KRW for 60 hours per month.
Additionally, a senior job launching ceremony and safety education for project participants will be held in each of the 14 eup and myeon of Sinan-gun, and the project will be promoted until December.
County Governor Park Woo-ryang said, “We will spare no support to provide various jobs for seniors to have a healthy and active retirement life,” and added, “We will also do our best to manage safety so that the project can be carried out in a safe environment.”
