[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will support participation fees for domestic exhibitions following support for overseas exhibitions for local small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.
Suwon City announced that it will recruit eight local companies to participate in the '2023 First Half Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises Domestic Exhibition Individual Participation Support Project' from the 10th to the 24th of this month.
The Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises Domestic Exhibition Individual Participation Support Project provides partial marketing cost support when small and medium manufacturing enterprises located in Suwon participate individually in specialized exhibitions.
The booth rental fee, installation fee, and promotional expenses for exhibitions participated in by selected companies are supported up to a limit of 3 million KRW.
Even if the company has received subsidies from other organizations or local governments, as long as the total amount of support does not exceed the participation fee, the difference can be supported by applying separately to booth rental fees, installation fees, and promotional expenses.
However, forums or conferences held in hotels or other venues that are not domestic exhibition halls are excluded.
Applications for support can be submitted by downloading the application form from the Suwon City website under 'Suwon News → City Administration News,' filling it out, and submitting it. The city will announce the supported companies next month.
Exhibition participation costs must be paid by the company first, and the support payment application must be submitted within 15 days after participation. The settlement will be processed within 10 days from the date the settlement documents are submitted.
A city official stated, "Considering the difficult business environment, we decided to support the exhibition participation costs for small and medium manufacturing enterprises," and added, "We also plan to support participation costs for domestic exhibitions held in the second half of this year (July to December)."
