Train Service 'Operating Normally' as of 9:45 PM
[Asia Economy reporters Jang Sehee and Gong Byungseon] The police responded to a report of a suspected explosive device at Mia Station on Seoul Subway Line 4, but it was ultimately confirmed that the bag did not contain any explosives.
On the 9th, the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul stated that at around 9:30 PM, officers inspected the bag at the scene and found it contained boxes, clothes, and plastic bags. A police official said, "It was not an explosive device, and the bag contained clothing and other items."
Accordingly, as of 9:45 PM, Subway Line 4 is operating normally.
At around 8:29 PM that day, a report was received that there was a suspicious object believed to be an explosive device on the platform of Mia Station on Seoul Subway Line 4, causing trains in both directions to pass through without stopping.
