Snow and Rain Nationwide Tomorrow... Mostly Clearing by Late Morning

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] On Friday the 10th, rain or snow will fall nationwide but will mostly stop by the morning. The Seoul metropolitan area and Chungnam region will gradually clear up from night.

Expected precipitation amounts are 20?60mm for Jeju Island, 5?20mm for the southern regions (with more than 30mm in some southern coastal areas), 5?10mm for southern Chungbuk and Gangwon Yeongdong, and less than 5mm for Chungnam region, central and northern Chungbuk, southern Gangwon Yeongseo, the five islands in the West Sea, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo.

Expected snowfall amounts are 5?15cm for northwestern inland Gyeongnam, 1?5cm for Chungbuk, eastern Jeonbuk, northern inland Gyeongbuk, southwestern inland Gyeongbuk, southwestern inland Gyeongnam, southeastern inland Chungnam, southern mountainous Gangwon, and northeastern mountainous Gyeongbuk (with more than 7cm in some areas), and around 1cm for eastern inland Jeonnam, southeastern inland Gyeongbuk, northern and eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon (excluding southern mountains), and inland Chungnam (excluding southeastern inland). The Seoul metropolitan area will see light rain around 1mm.

The morning low temperature is forecast to be between -2 and 6 degrees Celsius, higher than today, and the daytime high temperature is expected to be similar to today at 6?13 degrees Celsius.

There may be thunder and lightning in the southern seas of Jeju Island, and dense sea fog is expected mainly in the West Sea, South Sea, and Jeju Island seas, so caution is advised for maritime safety accidents.
