Chamjoeun Travel reported on the 9th that a suspected personal information leak incident occurred and urged customers to be cautious of secondary damage.
Through a notice on its website that day, Chamjoeun Travel stated, "It is presumed that some customer personal information was leaked due to hacking between the 5th and 7th," and apologized for causing concern.
According to the company's findings, the suspected leaked items include a total of five categories: name, date of birth, gender, mobile phone number, and email. Chamjoeun Travel said, "After recognizing the suspected leak case, we blocked the relevant route and reported it to the authorities." They also urged, "There is a concern about secondary damage such as identity theft and voice phishing due to this incident, so please be especially cautious of text messages or spam impersonating the company sent from unknown numbers."
