[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 9th, Jeonnam Hampyeong-gun announced that it held an on-site briefing session for the detailed design of the Veterans Hall construction project on the 8th.
About 10 people attended the briefing session, including Lee Sang-ik, the mayor of Hampyeong-gun, the head of the Jeonnam Western Veterans Office, and related officials.
The existing Veterans Hall is old and cramped, making it inconvenient for elderly veterans to use, and maintenance costs are also increasing.
Accordingly, the county will invest 2.2 billion KRW in the project to improve welfare services for national veterans and aims to complete the relocation and new construction of the Veterans Hall by the end of this year.
The Veterans Hall will be built reflecting the opinions of veterans' organization members, with three above-ground floors and a total floor area of 618㎡ in the Naegyo-ri area of Hampyeong-eup.
A county official said, “We will continue to do our best to strengthen respect for veterans and improve welfare services.”
