[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] On the 8th, Han Chang-seop, Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, returned to the Government Seoul Office at 20:30 immediately after the National Assembly's impeachment resolution against Minister Lee Sang-min was passed and the National Assembly's government questioning session ended, and presided over an emergency executive meeting.

Vice Minister Han reviewed major issues by each department and bureau and emphasized, "In this serious situation, we will carry out our respective roles without wavering and without any setbacks."
In particular, while inspecting the disaster response system, he instructed, "We will ensure a swift reporting system and thorough on-site inspections so that there are no gaps in the safety of the people."
Regarding the police and fire departments, he also requested, "We will do our best in public safety and security management so that the people do not feel anxious."
Meanwhile, just before the meeting, he visited the Central Disaster and Safety Situation Room Seoul Situation Center to check the disaster management status, and immediately after the meeting, he sent a letter to all employees urging strict discipline and faithful execution of duties.
