[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan Gijang-gun is publicly recruiting honorary supporters who play a role in directly listening to policies that residents want to know and reflecting them in county administration promotion.
The public recruitment period for honorary supporters is until February 28, and applicants can be any residents who have an address or business place in Gijang-gun or work there and are interested in Gijang county administration. It is an unpaid honorary position, and various press release lists will be provided during supporter activities, and the real names of honorary supporters will be published in articles when press releases are adopted.
Once selected as honorary supporters, they will collect policies that residents want to know directly, suggest opinions to reflect them in press release writing, and advise on promotional directions that satisfy residents.
County Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “County administration should not be carried out unilaterally; it must always communicate and empathize with residents, provide the right to know, and offer opportunities for participation in county administration. The role of honorary supporters who suggest such promotional directions is very important.”
At the end of last year, a policy demand survey of Gijang residents showed that county administration promotion was insufficient. As a measure to revitalize county administration promotion, honorary supporters for county administration promotion, composed of civilians to perform communication and empathy roles between Gijang-gun and residents, will be publicly recruited and operated.
