Selected as the Nation's Best Institution for Integrated Defense Posture

On the 8th, the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters received the ‘2022 Integrated Defense Meritorious Presidential Group Commendation’ from President Yoon Suk-yeol at the 56th Central Integrated Defense Meeting held at the Blue House State Guesthouse.
The Integrated Defense Meritorious Presidential Group Commendation is awarded to one outstanding facility among about 500 nationally important facilities, based on a comprehensive evaluation of emergency preparedness facility protection plans, improvements to protective facilities, and the establishment of integrated defense operation systems involving civilian, government, military, and police sectors.
The Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters was recognized for its integrated defense readiness capabilities in protecting nuclear power plant facilities, including facility protection plans and improvements for emergencies such as drone terrorism, establishment of integrated operation systems with related agencies, and continuous joint training exercises, earning the presidential group commendation.
Lee Kwang-hoon, head of the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, “This award is the result of the relentless efforts and unity of all headquarters staff and related agencies. We will use this integrated defense presidential group commendation as an opportunity to establish a more thorough protection system so that the public can feel even more secure.”
