“When the body is healthy, the mind and spirit become healthier, and as we pay more attention to those around us, the world becomes healthier as well.”
In this regard, the first step of the ‘2023 National Brain Health Project’ promoted by Asia Economy, the ‘One Day Ten Thousand Steps, One Day One Thousand Characters’ campaign, holds special significance as it aligns with ‘WalkOn,’ an initiative underway in Dong-gu, Gwangju, which has entered a super-aged society.
Walking ‘One Day Ten Thousand Steps’ is a representative aerobic exercise that can be easily practiced in daily life. In the healthy city of Dong-gu, the ‘WalkOn Challenge’ is being promoted, centered around seven urban health trails that embrace nature within the city.
‘One Day One Thousand Characters’ transcription is the best exercise for the brain. Although it may be difficult at first, copying good writings together with those nearby will not only improve cognitive abilities but also help mental health.
Starting today, I will also strive to walk one more step and write one more character. I will support the widespread expansion of the ‘One Day Ten Thousand Steps, One Day One Thousand Characters’ campaign.
