Gyeongnam Goseong-gun Women's Association Holds First Regular General Meeting

Consensus Reached to Expand Initiatives Including Volunteer Activation

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] The Goseong-gun Women's Association held its 2023 regular general meeting on the 8th at the Everyone's Auditorium of the Goseong-gun Comprehensive Social Welfare Center annex, attended by County Governor Lee Sang-geun, County Council Chairman Choi Eul-seok and council members, Provincial Assembly members Baek Su-myeong and Heo Dong-won, former and current association presidents, and 50 others.


At the regular general meeting, the following were approved as originally proposed: ▲2022 major business performance report ▲2022 revenue and expenditure settlement (draft) ▲2023 basic business plan and revenue and expenditure budget (draft), and officers were elected.

Regarding the election of officers, two vice presidents who vacated their positions due to retirement and auditors were elected as follows: ▲Vice Presidents Choi Oe-suk and Choi Jeong-hwa ▲Auditor Choi Jong-suk.


Appreciation plaques were presented to retiring Vice Presidents Kim Hee-ja and Park Eun-joo, and Auditor Moon Jeong-ja.


Next, among the key projects, it was resolved to expand and promote projects such as ▲volunteer activation projects including the Citizen Sharing Bazaar ▲multicultural family support projects including the operation of the Marriage Immigrant Women Mentee-Mentor Sarangbang ▲creating a child-friendly environment project ▲gender equality week commemorative events and the Goseong-gun Women's Unity Competition.


Chairperson Kim Myeong-ok said, “The presidents and members of our association have been actively working not only to promote women's rights but also to lead wherever help is needed, even in unseen places. Like the vigorous leaps of black rabbits, let us become wonderful women leaders who make a strong leap forward this year as well,” urging harmony and cooperation.


Governor Lee said in his greeting, “Thanks to the passionate efforts and active cooperation of the presidents of the Goseong-gun Women's Association, Goseong-gun is becoming a newer and more encouraging place for its citizens. I ask for your continued deep interest in county administration and active cooperation.”
