[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] NH Investment & Securities announced on the 8th that it will start a 24-hour trading service for U.S. stocks.
Starting today, NH Investment & Securities will operate a daytime trading service for U.S. stocks from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and is the only company in the securities industry to provide 24-hour overseas stock trading services.
NH Investment & Securities offers the longest trading hours in Korea with a total of 24 hours, starting with daytime trading (10:00?18:00), followed by pre-market (18:00?23:30), regular market hours (23:30?06:00), and after-market (06:00?10:00).
They secured the longest trading hours domestically by minimizing daily settlement time through the efficiency of the ledger management system. The daytime trading order execution method allows real-time buying and selling through liquidity provision (LP) by global market makers. Currently, daytime trading opens with 5 price levels and plans to expand to 10 price levels for market quotes in the future.
By newly introducing U.S. stock daytime trading, NH Investment & Securities enables customers to trade U.S. stocks anytime they want. They also provide various services to enhance convenience for overseas stock investment.
Since last year, they have been the first in the industry to operate a retail lending pool service for overseas stocks, and offer a differentiated margin service that applies 50% or 100% margin requirements depending on the stock when purchasing shares listed on the U.S., Japan, China, and Hong Kong stock exchanges. Previously, stock purchases were only possible within the range of available cash, but when buying overseas stocks with a 50% margin, customers can place orders up to twice their available cash.
Meanwhile, NH Investment & Securities is also operating the Nasdaq TotalView service in collaboration with Nasdaq, providing real-time quotes for U.S. stocks with 20 price levels. By expanding the bid and ask and order size information for individual stocks, customers can receive quote information identical to that of domestic stocks, freeing them from inconveniences related to price information. Additionally, to facilitate trading for "Seohak Gaemi" (Korean investors trading U.S. stocks), they offer services such as U.S. IPO subscription agency, monthly dividend services for U.S. stocks, real-time free quotes, and trading services in 27 countries.
