The city plans to expand the support to a total of 600 people, divided into the first and second half of the year, to help young job seekers preparing for employment interviews reduce the economic burden of preparing suits and succeed in employment opportunities.
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam Province is expanding its free suit rental program for young job seekers.
The applicants must be young job seekers aged 19 to 34 residing in Changwon City. The rental period is 3 nights and 4 days per use, with a maximum of 3 uses per person annually. Rental items include jackets, pants, shirts, and neckties for men, and jackets, skirts (or pants), and blouses for women.
To use the service, applicants can make a reservation on the city’s website and visit the rental store on the reserved date to rent the suit.
Choi Young-sook, the Youth Policy Officer, said, “We hope the free interview suit rental service will ease the economic burden of job hunting for young job seekers and encourage their success in employment. Going forward, Changwon Special City will continue to develop new youth-focused policies to become a vibrant city where young people gather.”
