T'way Air Holds Safety Model Employee Awards Ceremony... "Strengthening Safety Awareness"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] T'way Air announced on the 8th that it held the 2022 Safety Model Employee Awards Ceremony.

Since 2018, T'way Air has been selecting safety model employees company-wide and holding annual awards. This aims to strengthen the internal awareness of 'safety,' the top priority value of T'way Air, and to encourage voluntary and proactive participation in safety activities by employees. This year's ceremony was held on the morning of the 6th at the headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

The awards were decided by receiving commendation reports from employees who contributed to the company's safety activities throughout 2022 in each category (flight control, flight operations, cabin crew, maintenance, transportation), followed by first and second rounds of review by the Awards Deliberation Committee to select the final recipients.

A total of 10 employees selected from each category received certificates of commendation and monetary awards. The awardees were recognized for various outstanding cases such as ▲excellent procedure execution in response to sudden in-flight emergency patients ▲contributions to aircraft quality improvement and on-time operations ▲preventing major defects in advance, contributing to safe flight operations and cost reduction ▲preventing aircraft safety accidents and material damage.

T'way Air has consistently emphasized the importance of building a company-wide safety culture by conducting regular internal safety campaigns. Various campaigns to enhance safety awareness at the company level are ongoing, including the safety report reward system, posting internal promotional posters to raise safety awareness, and holding cabin crew safety and security content contests.

A T'way Air official stated, “We have made efforts for several years to establish a culture where employees voluntarily share and maintain vigilance to secure safety that cannot be compromised by anything.” He added, “We will continue various activities to share safety awareness company-wide and strengthen the safety culture to build an even higher-level safety system.”
