The task force plans to discuss various issues considering social and economic environmental changes, focusing on system improvement suggestions received from local governments and related industries.

At the first meeting, after discussing the task force operation plan, working-level meetings will be held by subcommittees (three subcommittees: construction contracts, service contracts, and goods contracts).

Choi Byung-kwan, Director of the Local Finance and Economy Office at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, said, “The scale of local contracts is increasing every year, and the ripple effect of the local contract system on the regional economy is growing, strengthening its importance as a policy tool. Through the operation of this task force, I hope that the voices from the field will be faithfully reflected and meaningful system improvements that help the recovery of the regional economy will be prepared.”
