The Office of Education plans to build a center differentiated from the existing centers such as Hwaseong, Yangju, Hanam, and Uiwang Education Support Centers that are currently installed and operated.
In particular, Lee Eun-ju, a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's Education Administration Committee (People Power Party, Guri 2), stated, "The Guri Education Support Center will fulfill the functions and roles of an education support headquarters between the Office of Education and the Education Support Center," adding, "If the scale and organization are limited, a center focused on education support that students, faculty, and parents can truly feel is necessary."
She further requested that sufficient office space be secured considering the future expansion of the center's functions and roles, and asked for cooperation from Guri City.
Kwon Bong-su, chairman of the Guri City Council, also agreed with the establishment of the Guri Education Support Center and recommended various spaces, while Guri City plans to secure an optimal space (at least 100㎡ or more).
