Hong Nampyo, Changwon Special City Mayor, Engages in Communication and Empathy with 7 Major Organizations

First Communicator with Organization Executives as the Pioneer of the Lee-Tongjang Association

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 7th, Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, held a communication and empathy relay meeting with the executives of the Union of Neighborhood and Village Leaders, who are at the forefront of city administration, to carry out demand-centered administration.

This meeting was conducted in a relay communication format with executives of seven major organizations in Changwon City to operate demand-centered city administration in 2023. The Union of Neighborhood and Village Leaders, who listen closely to the voices of residents, took the lead as the first participant in the relay meeting.

Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, held a communication and empathy relay meeting with the executive members of the Union of Village and Neighborhood Leaders.

Mayor Hong communicated frankly with six executives, including the branch heads of the Union of Neighborhood and Village Leaders from five districts, discussing the difficulties and improvement plans of the neighborhood leaders and the suggestions of local residents.

Ku Man-su, president of the Union of Neighborhood and Village Leaders, said, “We are grateful for providing a comfortable atmosphere to communicate today,” and added, “As neighborhood leaders hold an important position connecting administration and citizens, we will continue to faithfully perform our duties so that Changwon Special City can stand tall as a Northeast Asia hub city.”

Mayor Hong said, “I deeply appreciate the hard work of the neighborhood leaders who are working on the front lines between administration and residents despite difficult situations such as COVID-19 and economic recession,” and added, “In 2023, the city will strive to become a year to complete the foundation for future innovative growth by listening to voices from the field and carrying out proactive, citizen-centered administration.”

The communication and empathy relay meetings are scheduled to continue with seven major organizations until March 2, and thereafter, various sites such as Jinhae Logistics Complex and traditional markets will be visited to continue communication and empathy meetings.
