Direct Visit to Administrative Welfare Center, Online 'Moiso' Until the 28th
Scheduled to Provide 300,000 KRW Twice Annually via Pohang Sarang Card
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dong-guk Lee] Pohang City will accept applications for the Farmer and Fisherman Allowance online and offline from the 6th to the 28th of this month.
Eligible applicants are business owners who registered their agricultural and fishery management information from December 31, 2021, and have continuously resided in Gyeongbuk Province for more than one year while engaging in agriculture and fishery.
However, those with a comprehensive income amount outside of agriculture and fishery exceeding 37 million KRW, those caught for fraudulent receipt of subsidies such as direct payments within the last five years, those penalized for violating the Farmland Act, Mountainous Area Management Act, Livestock Epidemic Prevention Act, or Fisheries Act, public officials, employees of public institutions, spouses of eligible business owners for the Farmer and Fisherman Allowance, or those who actually live together but have separated households are excluded from eligibility.
Applicants can visit their local eup, myeon, or dong administrative welfare centers to submit their applications. Especially this year, business owners who received agricultural direct payments last year can apply online using Gyeongbuk Province’s MyData service ‘Moiso’ without visiting the administrative welfare center.
Once the application is completed, eligibility verification will be conducted in March to finalize the recipients, and 300,000 KRW will be paid twice, in April and August, by charging the Pohang Sarang Card.
Mayor Lee Kang-deok said, “We hope that supporting the Farmer and Fisherman Allowance will help stabilize the income of farmers and fishermen and revitalize the local economy,” and added, “We ask for the interest of many eligible farming households to apply within the period to receive the benefits.”
