Arrest of a Man in His 50s on Attempted Murder Charges for Stabbing an Acquaintance and Fleeing

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] The Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced on the 7th that they have arrested a man in his 50s, Mr. A, on suspicion of attempted murder.

Mr. A is accused of stabbing a man in his 50s, Mr. B, whom he knew, with a weapon at a restaurant near Isu Station in Seoul at around 1:11 a.m. on the 5th, and then fleeing the scene.

After fleeing, Mr. A expressed his intention to surrender at around 3 p.m. the previous day, following the police's issuance of an arrest warrant and the start of the investigation.

The police plan to conduct further investigations, including evidence collection, to clarify the exact motive for the crime before considering applying for an arrest warrant.
