Callaway announced on the 7th that it will launch the 2023 model 'ERC Soft Golf Ball.'
The ERC Soft is a golf ball named after the initials of Ely Reeves Callaway, the founder of Callaway Golf. It has been loved by many golfers for its long distance and soft feel. The 2023 model ERC Soft features a 'Grip Urethane Coating' cover technology that provides enhanced spin in short games and approach shots. Paired with the upgraded 'New Hyper Elastic SoftFast Core,' it delivers fast ball speed and a soft feel.
Putting accuracy has also been improved. Callaway upgraded the 'Triple Track Alignment Technology,' first developed by the company in 2019, to enhance golfers' concentration and shot accuracy. The Triple Track Alignment Technology helps develop the ability to determine whether two or more objects are aligned in a straight line on a flat surface.
A Callaway Golf Korea representative said, "The 2023 ERC Soft Golf Ball is a product that strengthens the elements of distance and spin control that golfers desire. Compared to the previous model, users can experience improved distance in the long game and excellent spin control in the short game."
