Korea Networks Supplies Logistics Automation Solution to hy

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Korea Networks, a subsidiary of Korea & Company Group, announced on the 7th that it has won the contract for the construction project of the hy Nonsan logistics center, a distribution specialist company, and will embark on building a logistics automation system worth approximately 12 billion KRW.

hy's new Nonsan logistics center is being built on a scale of about 7,500 pyeong to secure a base for handling online mall orders and regional volume, aiming for logistics automation to process the increasing volume of goods.

Korea Networks will supply autonomous driving robot-based order sorting automation equipment and an integrated logistics equipment control system to the Nonsan logistics center. An hy official stated, "Once the automation equipment construction is completed, the shipping processing capacity will double compared to the existing logistics center, resulting in reduced working hours and a 30% decrease in logistics center operating personnel."

Jo Youngmin, CEO of Korea Networks, said, "Major distribution companies are promoting logistics center automation to expand ultra-large automated logistics centers and strengthen new distribution services," adding, "We plan to continuously expand our business supplying advanced supply chain management (SCM) systems and cutting-edge automation solutions."

Meanwhile, Korea Networks established a logistics automation team in 2020 and has secured automation construction achievements across various industries such as apparel, food and beverage, and cosmetics. By advancing solutions that link its strength in warehouse management systems (WMS) with logistics automation business, it is developing a new business model at level 5 (intelligent and unmanned). The company plans to provide higher-level services to customers. Additionally, in 2023, it is accelerating the establishment of smart factory solutions in a more advanced total package form by creating a new solution lab organization.
