Rose wins AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am by 3 strokes
Kang Sung-hoon tied 29th, An Byeong-hoon tied 37th
Justin Rose (England, photo) ended his win drought.
On the 6th (local time), Rose added 3 under par in the final 9 holes of the 4th round at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (total prize money $9 million) held at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California, USA (par 72, 6,972 yards), securing a 3-stroke victory (18 under par 269). This marked his 11th career win and his first victory in four years since winning the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2019. The winner's prize money was $1.62 million (approximately 2 billion KRW).
Rose made 3 birdies without any bogeys in the 9 holes he couldn't complete the previous day due to sunset. After his first birdie at the 11th hole (par 3), consecutive birdies at the 13th and 14th holes effectively 'reserved' his victory. Rose joined the PGA Tour in 2004 and is a player who won the major US Open in 2013, the FedEx Cup in 2018, and a gold medal at the 2020 Rio Olympics. Rose exclaimed, "I won after a really long time," and said, "It was an incredible week from start to finish."
Brendon Todd and Brandon Wu tied for 2nd place (15 under par 272), Peter Malnati (both from the USA) tied for 4th place (14 under par 273), and Viktor Hovland (Norway) finished tied for 13th (10 under par 277). Among Koreans, Kang Sung-hoon posted the best result, finishing tied for 29th (7 under par 280). An Byeong-hun tied for 37th (5 under par 282), Kim Sung-hyun tied for 41st (4 under par 283), and Noh Seung-yul tied for 65th (1 over par 288).
