On the 6th, Shinhan Life announced the publication of this 'ESG Performance Report.' This report, published for the first time this year, was prepared in accordance with the international sustainability reporting guidelines, 'GRI.' Additionally, to enhance the accuracy and external credibility of the report, it underwent independent third-party verification.
According to the report, Shinhan Life introduced a 'double materiality' assessment that simultaneously considers environmental and social factors as well as corporate value and financial significance. Through this, it identified key issues such as ▲strengthening ethics and compliance management ▲establishing sound governance ▲expanding ESG investments ▲personal information protection and cybersecurity ▲climate change risks ▲safety and health ▲community contribution and investment ▲practicing fair sales and protecting financial consumers, and set future plans accordingly.
Furthermore, efforts and achievements related to eco-friendly financial policies to respond to the climate crisis, Shinhan Life’s unique ESG promotion strategies, and governance were also covered.
