According to the county on the 6th, the ‘Youth Monthly Rent Temporary Special Support Project’ is a program that supports housing rent up to 200,000 KRW per month for 12 months for young people aged 19 to 34 (born between 1988 and 2004 as of 2023).

The support target is limited to non-homeowners living separately from their parents in housing with a lease deposit of 50 million KRW and monthly rent of 600,000 KRW or less. The applicant’s property value must be 107 million KRW or less, and the applicant’s income must be 1,246,735 KRW or less per month based on this year.

However, other criteria such as parents’ property value must also be met, and those who have already received benefits such as other monthly rent support projects or moved into Happy Housing are excluded from the support target.

Eligibility can be checked in advance through the My Home portal and the Welfare Road simulation calculation service. For offline applications, after completing the lease contract and moving-in registration at the address, applicants can visit the town or township office of their registered address to apply.

For online applications, it can be applied through the Korea Welfare Portal ‘Bokjiro’ website.

A county official said, “We expect that the Youth Monthly Rent Temporary Special Support will help alleviate the housing cost burden of young people facing economic difficulties even a little,” and added, “Since this is a newly launched temporary project, we will actively promote it so that all eligible young people can receive the benefits without omission.”
