This program, conducted to promote physical activity and reduce body fat among local residents, will be operated in collaboration with Pungam-dong, which has adopted "Healing Rest, Healthy Village" as its Brand Identity (BI), twice a week (Monday and Wednesday / 1 PM to 2 PM) from July 6 to September 13 at the Pungam-dong Administrative Welfare Center program room.
The recruitment target is 40 Seo-gu residents with a body fat percentage of 28% or higher, and applications can be made by phone to the Health Promotion Team.
Seo-gu will provide all participants with small equipment such as TheraBands and mini gym balls, and through basic strength exercises and daily calisthenics using these tools, it plans to induce body fat reduction and provide various educational materials on nutrition and moderate drinking to help maintain continuous healthy lifestyle habits.
Additionally, pre- and post-assessments including health behavior surveys, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, body fat (BMI), and physical fitness measurements will be conducted to compare the reduction of health risk factors and the degree of physical fitness improvement among participants.
A Seo-gu official stated, "Since the decrease in physical activity after COVID-19, obesity, a risk factor for metabolic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, has increased, and preventive management is necessary. We hope this program will greatly contribute to the health promotion of local residents."
