Expectations for Improvement of Rural Living Environment and Revitalization of Resident Communities
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] On the 6th, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam held a completion ceremony for the ‘Hanmaam Complex Center’ in the Dojeon-ri area of Maam-myeon to revitalize the rural area of Maam-myeon.
On this day, about 100 people including Lee Sang-geun, the county governor, Choi Eul-seok, chairman of the Goseong County Council, provincial councilors, county council members, heads of organizations and institutions, and residents attended.
The Hanmaam Complex Center was built as part of the Maam-myeon Rural Hub Revitalization Project to serve not only as a welfare service space and convenience facility for residents but also to strengthen local capabilities and improve quality of life.

Inside the center, there are a book cafe, auditorium, table tennis room, billiards room, and fitness center, which will be used as a space for resident activities and various autonomous programs.
Choi Deuk-rak, chairman of the promotion committee, said, “We are grateful to Goseong-gun and the county council for solving the long-standing projects of local residents and creating convenience facilities in Maam-myeon.”
Governor Lee said, “I sincerely thank Chairman Choi Deuk-rak and the residents of Maam-myeon who have worked hard for the successful promotion of the project,” and added, “I hope the Hanmaam Complex Center will become a hub for cultural and welfare improvement and community revitalization for the residents of Maam-myeon in the future.”
The Maam-myeon Rural Hub Revitalization Project has been carrying out various projects such as ▲construction of the Hanmaam Complex Center ▲construction of Choseon Village Hall ▲creation of Maamcheon Stream walking trail ▲remodeling of Maam Welfare Center ▲parking space maintenance ▲operation of local resident capacity-building programs with a project cost of 5.6 billion won from 2018 to 2022 after being selected in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs public contest in 2017.
