[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] HK Innoen announced on the 6th that it has published its first social contribution white paper, which contains the major social contribution activities and achievements carried out last year.
The 2022 Social Contribution White Paper is a report summarizing HK Innoen’s social contribution system, promotion directions, major projects, and achievements. Starting with this first publication, it plans to publish it regularly every year.
Under the social contribution vision of “Connecting to a Better Future,” HK Innoen practices social responsibility throughout society based on expertise, sincerity, and sustainability. The social contribution activities were mainly promoted around the “3Ns”: ▲Coexistence with Local Communities (Social N), ▲Support for Children and Adolescents (Dream N), and ▲Contribution to a Sustainable Environment (Eco N).
The Coexistence with Local Communities (Social N) area involved activities aimed at creating a society where everyone lives together. HK Innoen established communication channels with Majang-myeon, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, where its business site is located, discussed local community issues, and operated the “Health Support Campaign for the Elderly on Senior Citizens Day” for elderly living alone in the district, striving for coexistence with the local community from a long-term perspective. It also regularly exchanges with local nonprofit organizations to support vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots.
In the Support for Children and Adolescents (Dream N) area, employees directly participated in the step donation campaign “Georeumen Innoen” three times, collecting 3.8 billion steps and delivering a total of 150 million KRW in scholarships to children with juvenile diabetes and children of organ donors. In addition, it regularly sponsors the “Dream Start” project, which supports education for underprivileged children and adolescents in Cheongju-si, Chungbuk, where the headquarters is located, and employees personally deliver Christmas gifts to patients at the Seoul Children’s Hospital through the annual “Secret Santa” event.
As part of the Contribution to a Sustainable Environment (Eco N) activities, HK Innoen implemented the eco-friendly campaign “U GREEN?” aiming to eliminate disposable cups in the company, encouraging the use of tumblers and fostering an environmentally friendly corporate culture. It is also making eco-friendly efforts such as creating a forest in Noeul Park, Mapo-gu, Seoul, through the “Healthy Forest, Comfortable Breath” activity.
