'Dialogue with Residents'... Listening to Diverse Opinions from All Walks of Life

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Kim Hee-su, the mayor of Jindo County, has embarked on a communication administration initiative through the '2023 Dialogue with Residents.'

According to Jindo County on the 6th, the 'Dialogue with Residents' will begin this year to inform local residents about the direction of county administration and major project plans, and to gather various opinions.

Mayor Kim Hee-su will conduct dialogues with residents in seven towns and townships from the 8th to the 17th as part of communication administration efforts to create a "Resident-centered, Livable Jindo County."

The upcoming 'Dialogue with Residents' is held to reflect the voices of residents in county administration through participation and communication on local issues.

It will also focus on fostering a consensus among residents by enhancing understanding and cooperation regarding this year's county administration direction and work plans.

The schedule will proceed in order from reporting major county administration work plans, dialogue with residents, to visits to key project sites and vulnerable groups.

In particular, the collected opinions will be comprehensively reviewed by the responsible departments for necessity, urgency, and feasibility, and actively reflected in county administration to increase resident consensus and satisfaction with the administration.

Mayor Kim Hee-su stated, "Since the launch of the 8th elected term, we will thoroughly inform residents about achievements, this year's county administration direction, and major project plans, and listen to diverse opinions from all walks of life to create a livable Jindo County where residents are the owners."

Meanwhile, the Dialogue with Residents is scheduled to be held in the following order: Jindo-eup (8th), Gunnae-myeon (9th), Gogeun-myeon (13th), Uisin-myeon (14th), Imhoe-myeon (15th), Jisan-myeon (16th), and Jodo-myeon (17th).
