Targeting the North American HVAC Market by Leading with 'Energy Saving' Customer Experience
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] LG Electronics is strengthening its North American market strategy by promoting high-efficiency air conditioning solutions with energy-saving competitiveness.
On the 6th, LG Electronics announced that it will showcase high-efficiency customized air conditioning solutions at the largest North American HVAC exhibition, 'AHR Expo 2023,' held in Atlanta, USA, until the 8th (local time). The company has set up two exhibition booths covering a total area of 630㎡, including the 'Air Conditioning Solutions Pavilion' and the 'Component Solutions Pavilion.'
LG Electronics will showcase a wide range of differentiated high-efficiency air conditioning solutions at 'AHR Expo 2023,' North America's largest HVAC exhibition, held in Atlanta, USA, from the 6th to the 8th local time. At the 'Air Conditioning Solutions Pavilion,' LG Electronics will introduce its 2023 air conditioning solutions, including the new commercial system air conditioner 'Multi V AI' equipped with a high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) engine, Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS), heating and cooling system heat pump 'Therma V,' residential inverter heat pump water heater, and inverter scroll heat pump chiller.
The commercial system air conditioner Multi V AI offers differentiated AI functions through its high-performance AI engine, such as ‘AI Indoor Space Care,’ which automatically controls multiple indoor units in one space to maintain a uniform temperature throughout the entire area; ‘AI Energy Customized Control,’ which operates according to the user-set energy consumption target; and ‘AI Smart Care,’ which saves electricity by automatically reducing power when no one is present and adjusting cooling intensity according to the situation to keep the indoor environment comfortable. The domestic product has an energy consumption efficiency rating of Grade 1, and compared to the previous model ‘Multi V Super 5’ of the same 16-horsepower class, its energy efficiency has improved by up to 7.2%.
LG Electronics will also showcase the Dedicated Outdoor Air System, which won the Innovation Award at last year’s AHR Expo. This product adds dehumidification, cooling, and heating functions to commercial ventilation systems, providing innovative customer value by simultaneously controlling the temperature and humidity of indoor air in buildings or facilities. The heating and cooling system heat pump Therma V, which has gained popularity overseas due to soaring gas prices, will also be exhibited. This heat pump method compresses outdoor air through a heat exchanger for heating and cooling. It is more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient compared to conventional boilers that use heat generated by burning fossil fuels. Using LG Electronics’ smart home platform LG ThinQ app, users can conveniently monitor and control the system remotely.
At the ‘Component Solutions Pavilion,’ LG Electronics will also showcase its differentiated core component competitiveness. All compressor products apply refrigerants R454B and R32, which have a global warming potential 25-33% lower than the conventional R410A. Lee Jae-sung, Vice President and Head of the Air Solution Business Division at LG Electronics H&A Business Division, said, “We will accelerate our global air conditioning market strategy, including North America, with high-efficiency customized solutions that provide differentiated customer experiences such as excellent energy savings as well as comfortable indoor air quality management.”
