Ministry of the Interior and Safety Provides Emergency Relief Funds for Cheongboho Overturning Accident

[Asia Economy Reporter Seong Giho] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 6th that it will urgently provide 'Disaster Relief Support Funds' to facilitate relief activities related to the fishing vessel (Cheongboho) capsizing accident that occurred around 23:19 on the 4th.

The disaster relief support funds, provided upon the application of the local government (Sinan-gun), will be used for expenses such as volunteer meal and snack costs for relief activities and fuel costs for disaster relief equipment.


Kim Seongho, Director of the Disaster Safety Management Headquarters at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, requested, "The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Coast Guard should do their best to promptly search for the missing persons through cooperation with related agencies and ensure thorough convenience for supporting the families of the missing."
