A key official from the Presidential Office met with reporters at the Yongsan Presidential Office in the afternoon and said, "Ahn Cheol-soo candidate should well understand that putting the president, who is devoted to state affairs, on the same level as himself and dragging him into the campaign is very inappropriate."

This statement reflects displeasure following Ahn's recent mention of unification with President Yoon in the presidential election and his role as the chair of the Presidential Transition Committee, referring to the 'Yoon-Ahn Alliance.' The official added, "We believe other candidates feel the same way," and emphasized, "We hope such incidents do not happen again."

Earlier, President Yoon warned, "Those who try to gain political advantage by using the baseless term 'Yoon Core Group' will be recognized as disruptors and enemies of state governance going forward." This was in response to Ahn appearing on a YouTube channel on the 3rd and mentioning the 'Yoon Core Group,' saying, "Those people do not care about the president's safety but only about their next nomination." Recently, President Yoon also told his aides, "(The term 'Yoon Core Group') is not something responsible politicians in the party should say." In particular, President Yoon expressed, "I am open to sound criticism of those around the president," but also revealed his inner thoughts, saying, "Isn't 'Yoon Core Group' a term meant to directly attack and disgrace the president?"
