As interest in eco-friendliness grows, value consumption trends aimed at reducing the use of plastics and disposable products and minimizing environmental pollution are gaining attention.

In particular, regular dishwashing detergents may leave residues on dishes that can be ingested with food, and they contain LAS, a harmful ingredient to the human body that causes housewife eczema, so caution is necessary. Therefore, it is recommended to choose eco-friendly products for dishwashing detergents that frequently come into contact with the body, considering various factors such as skin irritation and detergent residue.

Pigeon’s ‘Dishwashing Detergent Pure’ contains ECOCERT-certified plant-derived surfactants made from fatty alcohol extracted from coconut and glucose extracted from sugarcane instead of synthetic extracts, reducing skin irritation while maintaining strong cleaning power. It does not contain harmful ingredients like LAS, so it is safe to wash not only dishes but also fruits and vegetables. It is an eco-friendly dishwashing detergent that has obtained the Ministry of Environment’s eco-friendly certification mark due to its excellent biodegradability, making it safe when returned to nature.

Sponge scrubbers frequently used in the kitchen can be a major cause of environmental pollution. Microplastics that fall off from regular sponges can stick to dishes even after washing, leading to unintentional ingestion, and they can flow into the sewage system, harming the environment. For this reason, natural sponges have recently gained popularity instead of acrylic sponges.

Imilly’s ‘Natural Sponge Luffa Zero Waste’ is eco-friendly, made by naturally drying actual luffa, a vegetable belonging to the cucumber family, in its original form. The dense mesh-like fiber structure dries easily even in the air, preventing the growth of bacteria or mold, and since it is a 100% natural luffa, it is safe from microplastics.

Eco-friendly laundry detergents and fabric softeners containing natural and naturally derived ingredients are also gaining attention. Pigeon’s ‘Acts Premium Gel’ is a laundry detergent that safely and powerfully assists washing with eight complex enzymes and baking soda. It uses ‘cyclodextrin,’ a natural ingredient extracted from corn starch that is environmentally friendly and free of 11 harmful substances, providing excellent deodorizing effects. Its high biodegradability is effective in preventing environmental and water pollution.

Cups made from eco-friendly materials are also gaining attention. Willieli’s ‘EcoGen Reusable Cup’ is made from EcoGen material, a plant-based raw material, making it easy to reduce plastic use as well as being reusable. EcoGen is a material with high heat resistance comparable to plastic, making it suitable as an eco-friendly alternative to plastic. Additionally, its clean transparent design combines practicality and eco-friendliness.
