Geumcheon-gu Recruiting Trainees for ‘Storage Coaching Volunteer Training Course’
Acquire specialized knowledge and skills in organizing and storage to utilize in volunteer activities
In collaboration with Geumcheon Residential Safety Comprehensive Center, contributing to improving the quality of life for neighbors in need
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is recruiting trainees for the specialized volunteer education program ‘Storage Coaching Volunteer Training Course’ until February 15.
The ‘Storage Coaching Volunteer Training Course’ was established to cultivate organizing experts who acquire systematic and standardized specialized knowledge and skills related to organizing and storage.
The training will be held from February 16 to April 13 at the Everyone’s Village Space Community Center near Geumcheon-gu Office. The course consists of a total of 9 sessions including ▲Understanding Space Organization ▲Fresh Refrigerator Management ▲Recyclable DIY ▲Balcony Space Utilization ▲Wardrobe Management ▲Field Practice.
Residents who complete the training will participate in volunteer activities linked with the Geumcheon Residential Safety Comprehensive Center, helping to organize homes of low-income families and other households in need, as well as providing emotional support.
The recruitment target is 12 residents who can participate as volunteer members after completing the training. Applications can be made by phone to the Gu Office’s Autonomous Administration Division.
Since 2016, volunteers trained through the specialized education course have been continuing their volunteer activities by visiting vulnerable households in the community once a month under the name ‘Master of Organizing and Storage.’
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “This training is meaningful as it cultivates experts in organizing and storage who will contribute to improving the quality of life for neighbors in need through volunteer activities.” He added, “We encourage many interested residents to apply.”
