Mid-term review of difficulties and suggestions from the merchants' meeting (January 12) and discussion of future plans
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the morning of the 3rd at 10 a.m., Yongsan-gu held a meeting with the Minister of SMEs and Startups and others who visited the Itaewon One-Stop Support Center, discussing support measures for Itaewon merchants.
The main visitors included the Minister of SMEs and Startups, the Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs of Seoul, the Chief of Yongsan Tax Office, the President of the Itaewon Tourism Special Zone Association, and about 10 others. After visiting the one-stop service desk on site and encouraging the staff, the meeting was held.
The main topics of discussion were a mid-term review of difficulties and suggestions raised at the merchants' meeting on the 12th of last month and future promotion plans.
－Kim Seon-su, Acting Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We will actively promote the ‘Itaewon Recovery Gift Certificate’ to ensure it is well utilized and helps the recovery of the Itaewon commercial district,” adding, “Through linkage with government-related agencies’ projects, we will strive to revitalize the Itaewon commercial district in the mid to long term.”
The One-Stop Support Center, located on the first floor of Yongsan-gu Office, is jointly operated by four organizations: the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Yongsan-gu, the Small Enterprise and Market Service, and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation. Its main services include ▲ issuance of disaster SME (small business) certificates ▲ consultation on emergency management stabilization funds for small business owners ▲ consultation on related government policy funds, among others.
